By setting up programs focused on ocean protection and sustainable development, these schools offer their students an enriching educational experience, while reinforcing their environmental commitment. SE4O is there to enhance and amplify these virtuous approaches by taking them one step further.

Qui peux adhérer à SE4O ?
L'adhésion "Schools Engaged For Ocean - SE4O" est accessible à tous les établissements éducatifs : écoles primaires, collèges, lycées, universités, centres de formation etc... peuvent postuler, à condition d’intégrer l’enseignement durable et de promouvoir activement la protection de l’Océan ou la planète dans leurs programmes.

Comment adhérer ?
1 - Teaching
L'adhésion repose sur l’intégration d’une filière éducative durable ou d’un enseignement durable qui place la protection de la planète au cœur de la démarche pédagogique.
Les écoles se distinguent ainsi par leur capacité à fusionner excellence académique et responsabilité écologique, en mettant en avant des projets innovants pour l’avenir.
This fundamental criterion makes it possible tocombine high-quality teaching with concrete action to preserve the Ocean.
2 - Participation
The voluntary financial contribution, ranging from €500 to €10,000 per year, represents a concrete commitment by schools to promoting sustainable education and protecting the Ocean.
This financial contribution, part of the E4O fund, is used to carry out concrete ocean preservation projects selected by the Engaged Committee.
The results of the actions carried out by the schools are measured and attributed to the "Schools for the Ocean" group.
3 - Think Tank
Chaque établissement doit créer un groupe de réflexion dédié à l’Océan au sein de l’école, favorisant ainsi l’émergence d’idées innovantes pour la préservation des milieux marins et fédérer les acteurs locaux.
Each year, this group of students and teachers will propose a concrete project in favor of the Ocean.
Each year, the E4O Committee will select 1 to 3 projects from the most committed schools, which will receive funding of up to €10,000 to carry them out.

✅ S ILVER Certification: Issuance of the SE4O label - Color-printed aluminum
✅ S E4O annual competition: Project reviewed by the E4O Committee and submitted to the competition for dedicated funding (max 5,000€) .
✅ Referencing: SILVER web & app visibility with dedicated article.
✅ Project networking: Privileged access with regular exchanges to integrate funded projects into the teaching curriculum.
✅ Pedagogical support: General advice for integrating the approach into the curriculum
✅ So cial network visibility: Increased coverage in our campaigns
GOLD
Details
✅ GOLD certification: SE4O label awarded - Premium polished brass
✅ Access to SAPHIR level (awarded after 3 years minimum GOLD, evolutions each year, project selected at least once, student commitment etc...)
✅ S E4O annual competition: Project reviewed by the E4O Committee and submitted to the competition for dedicated funding (max. €15,000).
✅ S earch engine optimization: Premium positioning on our platform, with press releases and regular highlights
✅ Networking: VIP invitations to national events
✅ Linking projects: Strategic partnership and ongoing collaboration to integrate projects into the curriculum.

Schools "Engaged For Ocean" - SE4O n'est pas qu'un symbole, c'est aussi, et avant tout, un support de l'exploration et de la recherche océanographique. Une école engagée est tenue informée des projets soutenus, des projets en cours et des problématiques rencontrées.
More than a symbol, it is also an invitation to go beyond the framework and to invest oneself personally, as a group, in these projects for which the fields studied will provide concrete answers.
This community spirit, this maritime tradition, is the solidarity of seafarers, which we transpose here to the protection and study of the Ocean.
